If you fancy glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall (and who doesn’t?!) but you’re a bit overwhelmed and don’t know where to even start to find somewhere, here are 12 ideas for you. Cornwall is a hugely popular UK destination so it can be a bit of a mission trying to narrow down where to stay. And of course, glamping is getting more and more popular so there’s a lot of choice. I have to say, as someone who hates the idea of ‘proper’ camping, glamping really is my cup of tea. I love nature and the outdoors but beds and heating were invented for a reason. And when these home comforts are inside some kind of whimsical cabin or shepherd’s hut, even better.

So, as my regular readers probably know, I love nothing more than putting the kettle on, grabbing my laptop and getting stuck into some accommodation research before I book a trip anywhere. The results of that research are what I’m sharing with you in this post. I’ve narrowed down about a million glamping options in Cornwall, all complete with the ever-important hot tub of course, and noted all the important details like cost, location and how many each sleeps.

If unwinding in bubbles with some coastal views sounds up your street, read on for some gorgeous accommodation ideas for glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall…

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post that I’ve done with Unique hideaways, a company offering lots of swanky glamping places in Cornwall. However, I was under no obligation to say anything nice! All views, words and research are my own. As ever, I give my honest opinions here on Pack The Suitcases. I cannot be bought. Even for a hot tub (although feel free to try).

Ideas for glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall

1. The Little Cider House: a ridiculously cute cabin – with hammocks!

Price per week: From £533; sleeps 5 people
Location: Fowey
Information: If I was sorting out a girls’ trip away, I would be all over The Little Cider House. How good would it be for a chilled-out hen do or birthday meetup? It’s even got hammocks as well as a hot tub. I can only begin to imagine the Instagram photoshoots those hammocks must have seen. The cabin’s interior is stunning, with tasteful wooden features and open shelves. It has a log burner and underfloor heating if you were renting it in cooler months for a cosy getaway, and outdoor picnic-style seating and a fire pit for summer evenings. The dream. Out of all 12 glamping options I’ve researched for this post, I think this would be my pick for a group trip with friends. It’s close to some stunning beaches and the town of Fowey, which has more than its fair share of places to eat and drink.

2. Mount View Retreat: a shepherd’s hut with the dreamiest sea views

Price per week: From £599; sleeps 4 people
Location: Penzance
Information: Mount View Retreat has it all: a hot tub, sea views, a surrounding wildflower meadow. AND it’s a shepherd’s hut, which is the official glammest of the glamping accommodation types. I can totally see myself frolicking through the meadow and launching myself into the hot tub with a prosecco in hand, while taking eleventy-billion scenic photos. The location in Penzance is spot on too. It’s within easy reach of the famous St Michael’s Mount and only about a 10-minute walk to the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, where you can lose yourself among pretty flowers and art. If you book this one, I’m coming with you.

3. Demelza: a luxury pod with rolling countryside views

Price per week: From £450; sleeps 2 people
Location: Lostwithiel
Information: Demelza is one of those swanky purpose-built glamping pods. It is SO fancy inside, with a gorgeous kitchen and underfloor heating. The living area has massive sofas (the kind you can actually properly lie down on) with bee-themed cushions on, which will of course appeal to anyone from Manchester! But the real draw for me is the view across rolling pastures, which would be amazing to look at as the sun goes down from the hot tub, glass of wine/fizz/beer in hand (delete as appropriate). If the weather is good, you can also have a BBQ outside to reward yourself for all those coastal walks you’ll inevitably be doing as you have lots within easy reach. Oh and the nearby town of Lostwithiel is known as the ‘antiques capital of Cornwall’, so pencil in an afternoon for some serious pottering and browsing.

4. The Witch’s Wagon: a magical dog-friendly shepherd’s hut in a spooky location

Price per week: From £521; sleeps 4 people
Location: Warleggan
Information: Another gorgeous shepherd’s hut, The Witch’s Wagon is dog-friendly. So if you were sold on the other one but put off by the no pooches rule, this is for you. And just look how lovely that wooden interior is, with all the cute crockery, and what a peaceful view outside. I can totally see myself sat there sharing a glass of wine (with a dog!) and watching the sun go down. Also, the local area is quite interesting. There’s some mystery and intrigue going on. If you like otherworldly stuff this will be just your thing! The minuscule hamlet of Warleggan, where the hut is located, claims to be ‘twinned with Narnia’ on its village sign (brilliant) and more importantly, it’s haunted. Yep. Check out the Haunted Britain site, which explains the ghostly sightings of a local vicar… (cue spooky music).

5. Squirrel Nutkin at Roe Wood: the cosiest woodland cabin for glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall

Price per week: From £441; sleeps 2 people
Location: Fowey
Information: When I saw the name Squirrel Nutkin at Roe Wood, I was sold (and may have audibly squealed). It conjures up an idyllic Beatrix Potter world full of woodland creatures. And sure enough, you can spot deer in the woodland that surrounds the cabin, where you have walks on your doorstep and wake up to the sound of birdsong. The interior is lovely, with gingham textiles and a log burner, and the outside has the essential hot tub and a picnic area. Out of all 12 glamping options I’ve researched for this post, I think this would be my pick for a trip away with my other half. The cosiness levels are through the roof and it’s well located for going out to eat and drink in the nearby town of Fowey. There’s also a farm shop and nice pub within walking distance. Always handy. And yes, I know it’s set up with everything you need for self-catering… but you’ve got to have a break on some nights and sample the local grub, right?

6. Barney’s Cabin: a stylish glamping getaway

Price per week: From £480; sleeps 2 people
Location: Porthleven
Information: Ooh, the tongue-and-groove walls and exposed beams in Barney’s Cabin are just beyond lovely. In a rolling meadow near some woodland, this is another good one for a quiet escape where you fit in lots of walks, beaches and exploring. The bathroom really caught my eye as it has a really nice big walk-in shower and heated towel rails, something you need especially if you’re visiting in cooler months. A proper bathroom is one of the many reasons I’d always opt for glamping and never camping! As for the local area, you’re very close to the picture-perfect fishing village of Porthleven where one of Rick Stein’s restaurants is. Definitely a good glamping spot for foodies.

7. Panoramic Silverbullet: a retro airstream for some USA-style glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall

Price per week: From £452; sleeps 2 people
Location: Looe
Information: I’ll admit, I didn’t even know what an airstream was until I stumbled across the Panoramic Silverbullet while hunting down places for glamping in Cornwall with a hot tub. It turns out that an airstream is a very cool retro caravan, an American brand known for its shiny aluminium exterior. You don’t really see them in the UK, but in the US they’re quite iconic. And suffice to say, this one seems to be a bit more luxurious than your average caravan. It’s like a little palace inside, while still retaining the cosy caravan vibes. The bathroom has cool metro tiles and there’s a wood burner in the lounge for snug nights. If you can tear yourself away from all that, there are stunning local walks on Bodmin Moor and the Golitha Falls, and the nearby village of St Neot is a good place for a cream tea.

8. Clover Cabin: for feeling like you could be in a chalet in the Swiss Alps

Price per week: From £650; sleeps 2 people
Location: Perranporth
Information: The beautifully decorated and designed Clover Cabin is straight out of a Pinterest board. I’m in love with the wooden chalet-like interior. The epitome of stylish glamping! The Portuguese-style tiles against chipboard in the kitchen and the beautiful en-suite bathroom in on-trend colours have sold it to me. Outside, you’ve of course got the hot tub, and a little picnic bench where you can sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity in a private garden. Out and about, you have the sandy shores of Perranporth just down the road, as well as the quaint old mining village of St Agnes for plenty of eating-out options. You’re also very close to the Eden Project, something I’ve always wanted to go to. Please let me know in the comments if you book this one and go there! I’ll be dead jealous.

9. Mount View Horizon Safari Tent: the fanciest tent for glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall

Price per week: From £722; sleeps 6 people
Location: Penzance
Information: I started my research for this post thinking I’d never consider sleeping in a tent. Well, I’m eating my words thanks to the super-swanky Mount View Horizon Safari Tent. It’s nothing like a tent. Other than er, technically being a tent. Inside, it’s got all the luxury touches and home comforts. And outside, it’s got a hot tub (of course) and that view over St Michael’s Mount, which really has the wow factor. This is definitely the priciest option I’ve included in this list, but for a group trip split between six, you could spend a lot more on a mediocre hotel. A couple could also treat themselves for a special occasion, maybe a relaxing minimoon or anniversary. There’s a county pub only half a mile away and Long Rock Beach a mile away. So if you can drag yourself away, there’s plenty of walking and eating to do.

10. Rame Head Lookout: for unbeatable views of the sea – and ponies!

Price per week: From £649; sleeps 2 people
Location: Whitsand Bay
Information: This is the first and only ‘lookout’ I’ve come across. And wow, the views do not disappoint. Rame Head Lookout is located on a dramatic clifftop with views over the sea and to a small chapel on the headland. Regular readers will know that I’m a horse person, and so I was VERY excited when I saw that there are ponies around the lookout. A stunning view can always be improved with ponies. And a hot tub. The lookout’s interiors are very chic and have a nautical theme, with inky blue kitchen units and cool Scandi-style chairs near the log burner. I think I’d be outside most of the time though, sat in the hot tub trying to befriend the ponies and being mesmerised by the view. They even have some binoculars you can borrow. Naturally, you’ve got secluded coves, coastal walks and traditional pubs all nearby. Lovely stuff.

11. Foxy Loxy at Roe Wood

Price per week: From £441; sleeps 2 people
Location: Fowey
Information: The beautiful Foxey Loxey is another timber cabin at Roe Wood, like the Squirrel Nutkin one mentioned earlier. Although they’re in the same woodland, it’s 30 acres so they’re spaced out and retain their privacy. And like its neighbour, the cabin has glorious walks on its doorstep featuring deer (other woodland creatures are available), nearby beaches and coastal walks, and places to explore if you can tear yourself away from your little slice of heaven. Similarly, its interior and exterior are lovely, and tick all the boxes for log burner, hot tub and picnic area. There’s very little between this and its neighbour, but luckily with two you have double the chance of being able to book one in the week that you need.

12. Bluebell Safari Tent

Price per week: From £493; sleeps 6 people
Location: Penzance
Information: Last but not least, and as I’m now converted to tents, I thought I’d stick another tent option in this list. Bluebell Safari Tent is slightly more affordable than the previous one I mentioned but still puts the glam in glamping. They’ve gone for a bluebell theme for the interiors as per it’s name, so the textiles inside are all a tasteful palette of blues and white. Yep, definitely not much like what I usually picture a tent as. There’s even a lovely Welsh dresser with bunting on, as well as all the home comforts. Again, you’ve got a traditional cosy pub only half a mile away and a neighbouring beach. Perfection.

Glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall – useful information for your trip

So there we have it: 12 ideas for glamping with a hot tub in Cornwall. I’m now desperate to book a stay at the Squirrel Nutkin Cabin or the Rame Head Lookout with the ponies outside…

Here’s a wee bit of practical info to end on, before we all get our credit cards out.

How to get around Cornwall

You’re definitely best off with a car if you want to get out and about in. And there seem to be far too many magical places to see in Cornwall so you’d be seriously missing out if you didn’t explore them all. However, if you’re based up north like me and the huge drive down seems a bit much, there’s a middle ground option. You could travel down by train to Truro, St Ives, or Newquay and hire a car when you get there. There are also some (limited!) country bus services, so it’s worth investigating if that’s your preference.

When to go to Cornwall

Like with most UK destinations, I’d recommend doing Cornwall in late summer/early autumn and spring. September and October are always quite nice. Avoid school holidays like the plague if you can, for obvious reasons. You could also do a really cosy winter glamping trip if you wanted to have Cornwall to yourself without many other tourists. Pretty much all of these glamping options have a log burner, and a hot tub is always bliss on a chilly day.
